STOURPORT school children tried their hand at making their own animated films.

Year 4 pupils from Burlish Park Primary School spent a day with computer animation specialist Barry Skillin, from the company Animation Nation.

The children designed, made and filmed their own clay models using the stop motion technique.

Mr Skillin said: “The pupils had a great day and worked really hard to make and produce their unique animated films. Animation is a fantastic way to engage, empower, educate and inspire people of all ages and abilities and allow them to creatively express their ideas and thoughts while learning many new skills."

Teacher Rhian Duckworth added: “It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to get a hands on experience of computer stop motion animation. The children produced some original shop movies and show themselves to be budding animation stars of the future.”
