Pupils to enjoy picnics, games and balloons

EXCITED youngsters will be getting into the Jubilee spirit as Wyre Forest schools hold events to celebrate the Royal occasion.

Sutton Park Community Primary School pupils will be tucking into a great big Jubilee picnic tomorrow.

All children and staff will be wearing red, white and blue and all classes have designed their own Jubilee bunting, which they will be judged during a parade.

Youngsters will also be dressed in patriotic colours at St Anne’s Primary School in Bewdley.

There will be singing, morris dancing, a crown parade, planting of a tree and time capsules being buried.

More than 300 red, white and blue balloons will also be released by the children.

Meanwhile, pupils from Heathfield School in Wolverley will be celebrating with a picnic and music with a Last Night of the Proms theme, while the New Elizabethan School will be having a barbecue, farmers’ market and traditional games and activities.
