The big pink parade
6:00am Saturday 5th October 2013 in Lifestyle
Think pink with the beauty brands marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Lisa Haynes rounds up this year's pink power players.
From soft powder pink to neon power pink, this is a colour that's currently in hot demand.
As 'the' shade of the season, everyone's clamouring to get their hands on the must-have pink statement pieces inspired by the catwalks.
But during October pink is about much more than fashion trends; it symbolises hope as the colour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCA).

Tried & tested
Cotton wool begone. Do the twist with the spill-free way to remove nail polish. Our testers try three instant dip-and-go removers:
:: Pretty Quik Instant Nail Polish Remover, £2.50 (Boots/Superdrug)
The acetone-soaked sponge doesn't look aesthetically pleasing, but after plunging my nail onto it, and a quick twist, there wasn't a trace of nail polish left.
:: Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover, £4.99 (Boots)
Despite the '1 Second' promise on the label, I had to dip and twist twice to remove my nail polish. The acetone-free solution and nourishing almond oil left my talons feeling soft.
:: Nails Inc Express Nail Polish Remover, £6.95 (www.nailsinc.com)
This black acetone-free sponge felt really gentle on my nails. A quick dip and twist and my polish had vanished and, unlike standard remover, my nails were left subtly scented.
