AMAZING creations by some of the best creative cake decorators in the business will be on display at an major Midlands exhibition.

Cake International will be on at the NEC with halls full of life-sized creations and other attractions including the finale of the largest cake decorating competition in the world.

There will be some jaw-dropping items on display including a wedding dress by Emma Jayne from Emma Jayne Cakes, who will also be exhibiting a recreation of a full scale war horse.

Phil and Christine Jensen, stars of Channel 4's Extreme Cake Makers, will be sculpting six-foot seahorses live at the show.

The show will run from Friday November 3 to Sunday November 5 and will feature 150 cake exhibitors offering cutting-edge cake decorating and baking supplies, more than 1,300 competition cakes in the Cake International finals plus airbrushing displays by artist Claire from Clairella Cakes, who will be bringing a fantasy scene to life.

There will be an international flavour to the event provided by cake and chocolate artist Karen Portaleo from Atlanta USA while teams from Cake That and the The Welsh Cakes will battle it out live to win the 2017 Cake Off final.

People looking to improve their own baking and decorating technique will be able to take a seat for free demonstrations at the Cake International Theatre while another five education areas will also be open for visitors.

Among the experts on stage at the theatre will be Natalie Porter on rapid rose and colour in cake making, Jacqui Kelly, who will be discussing structures for cakes and Karen Keaney with her tips for making chocolate biscuit Christmas pudding.
