1. Hang tote bags at the top and bottom of the stairs to put things that need to go up or down in, so you aren't climbing the stairs all the time.

2. Put a bin in the garage near the car driver's side, so when you arrive home you can immediately throw the kids' rubbish away.

3. Keep a clear plastic bag in the kids' sock drawer, put all single socks in it and check the bag for a match each time a new single sock appears.
