MEMBERS of the Chaddesley Corbett and Winterfold House School Tae Kwon Do clubs took part in a training session with Olympic Gold medalist Jade Jones.
Jones, who won the first British Olympic gold medal in the martial art in London, hosted the two hour training session at the University of Wales institute for sport in Cardiff.
The seminar included fitness drills, flexibilty exercises, lots of kicking drills and some individual sparring and coaching personally with Jade.
Hannah Rees 15, from Kidderminster, had the chance to test her skills against the Olympic Champion and tweeted afterwards, “What did you do this weekend Hannah?, I met my idol, she gave me great advice and I got a photo with her having actually sparred her..... #bestweekend.”
Instructor Danielle Hickey said: “It was such a privilege to be invited to such an event and I was so proud of my students who had such a great time with Jade.”
