ARCHERY: Naomi Folkard added an impressive five points to her national record for the Combined FITA round, while shooting at Droitwich Archery Society’s annual world record status event.
The Kidderminster archer shot 580 in the first round from 18 metres and then 583 at the 25m distance to give her an overall score of 1163, as she went onto beat her own national record.
She was well ahead of Becky Ashley (Droitwich) second with 1040, and former international Candy Schofield (Woking) third with 1012.
This is Folkard’s second national record since being told earlier this month that she has lost the UK Sport funding.
