Bletcher wants double over Dunlop

HEAD coach Ian Bletcher wants Kidderminster Carolians to notch up another league double at Dunlop this Saturday.

KCs produced their best win of the season against the Warwickshire side at Marlpool Lane and Bletcher is keen for a repeat show.

Kidderminster slipped to fourth in Midlands Division Two West (South) after Droitwich Spa took advantage of a free weekend to defeat Banbury.

Bletcher said: “The win over Dunlop was the best we have played and after the game I heard some of Dunlop’s players mumble ‘just wait until they come to our place.’

“But we’re really up for this game and we want to show that result was no fluke.

“One of our priorities this season is recording as many league doubles as we can and this is another opportunity.”

KCs will be without the injured forward pairing of Ben Turner and Stuart Simms but otherwise are at full-strength.

With a huge game against Droitwich coming up on Saturday, March 9, Bletcher has warned the players they must stay focused.

He said: “The players know if they want to play in the big games they need to attend training and play well.

"We’ve got strength in depth at this club and that will be important as the season goes on.”
