Curling joy for Forest

STUDENTS from a host of Wyre Forest schools excelled at the Worcestershire Winter Sainsbury’s Games.

More than 1,000 children aged between eight and 16-years-old from schools across the county came together to participate in a day of sport.

Wyre Forest School won the key stage, three, four and five mixed indoor curling, while in there was success for The Knoll School in the year three and four hockey tournament.

Wolverley’s Heathfield School saw its pupils win the year eight girls netball and there was also success for Bewdley School in the key stage three and four touch rugby.

Stourport High School pupil Georgina Knott finished third in the year seven girls cross-country.
