CHLOE Richardson will be looking to show her rivals a clean pair of heels after being selected to represent Great Britain at the Great Edinburgh Run which takes place on January 11.

It’s the first time 20-year-old Chloe, from Hartlebury, has been selected for Great Britain having run for England on numerous occasions as a Junior athlete.

Chloe only recently clinched her first senior England vest when finishing a very creditable eighth in Belgium when taking on some Kenyan athletes and just missed out on a European Cross Country Championship winning medal when named as first reserve for the powerful Great Britain team.

She is a former pupil at Baxter College and Oldswinford Hospital School, but is now in her first year studying sports science at Loughborough University.

She started her athletic career with Kidderminster and Stourport AC before moving to Halesowen.

Chloe now represents Birchfield Harriers where she is coached by former international athlete Peter Stewart.

Currently in top form, Chloe has already won the opening two races in this season’s Midlands Women’s Cross Country League.

Athletics followers can watch Chloe in action as the Great Edinburgh Run will be featured on BBC Television.
