A BOYS team from Stourport Hockey Club took on some of the best sides in the country to reach the semi-finals of the National Finals.
The under-16s indoor side held their own in a tournament where the top two sides from the four regions competed.
Stourport made an terrific start winning all four group games convincingly, overcoming Bury St Edmunds, Oxted, Doncaster and Plymouth. However, they were undone by their nemesis side, Beeston, in the last four.
They booked their place in the nationals by becoming Midlands Champions.
