BEWDLEY Town made it four wins in a row in the West Midlands Premier on Tuesday night as they defeated Bilston Town 4-2.

Goals for Jon Seekings, Alex Lavery (2) and Lee Williamson made sure of the points.

Victory lifted them to tenth in the table and sets them up for a strong finish to the campaign.

Joint manager Craig Payton said: “It was a great win but Bilston gave us a fright.

“We were 3-0 up but we conceded a deflected effort just before half-time.

“Bilston scored a great goal just after the break but Jon Seekings came off the bench and made the game safe.

“That moved up into tenth place which is where we were targeting.”

Town, who saw Saturday’s home clash against Lye postponed because of a waterlogged pitch, face three away games in seven days.

They go to Dudley Town, who have improved with the arrival of new boss Nigel Kirkham on Saturday (3pm). On Tuesday, Town visit Wellington Amateurs before facing Sporting Khalsa two days later (both 7.45pm).
