TWO new coaches are hoping to start a revolution at Blakedown Tennis Club.

Fully qualified LTA coaches Kirk Woodall and Grant Chapman have come on board with a mission to get more adults and juniors involved with the club, which is situated near Blakedown Primary School.

The club boasts three floodlit tarmac courts and a modern tennis pavilion.

"Our goals are to develop membership, get more people in the area playing tennis," said Woodhall.

"Not too many people realise there is a great club hidden away and we want to build up links with the local community and school."

They have started a junior night on Mondays, for youngsters aged between four and 18-years-old.

Children aged five to nine will be put through their paces between 4.30pm and 5.15pm, with the older juniors taking over immediately after.

From 6pm Blakedown will be hosting an adult club night.

For those who have not played for some while, there is an adults rusty rackets session on Thursdays between 8pm and 9pm, as well as a ladies session on Fridays between 10am and 11.30am.

An Easter junior camp will be run on April 23, 24 and 25 with under-9s 9am to 1pm and older children 2pm to 4pm.
