KINVER B were the giant killers in week nine of the Kidderminster and District Midweek League with Franche losing their first game of the season.

Although Franche still remain top of the league table in Division One, second-placed Bewdley A who continued their successful run with an away win against St Johns Tomk.

There was an exciting game in Division Two with SW Victoria beating Cookley A by a mere three shots.

With two clubs fighting for second and third place at the top of this Division Bewdley was the scene of another thrilling match with the home team losing to Royal Mail by three shots.

There were no surprises in Division Three, with Oldington C securing victory at Cookley.

Club rivals Cookley D also lost out this week to Kinver C.

There is an almighty tussle taking place at the top of Division Four with Kinver A, Franche C and Carolians all with 12 points.

However Kinver A suffered a three-shot loss at Cookley, Carolians were defeated by Oldington D while Franche C held the Nomads at bay with a 26 shots victory at home.

In Division One of the Thursday Midweek League, Franche remain undefeated with a 31 shots triumph at Wolverley.

There was a tight game at Oldington with St Johns OB A taking home an eight shot win while Oldington A also lost their game at Ombersley.

Meanwhile, it was a difficult week for Bewdley in Division Two, with Kinver B defeating their C side by three shots and B team losing away to Franche.
