STOURPORT Boat Club delivered 11 wins at Ironbridge Regatta on Saturday.

The juniors lead the way on the 1,000-metre course by bagging five wins.

The highly successful double scull pairing of Callum O’Reilly and Sam Bransford won their J14 race.

The Junior Women’s J16 quad of Ella Shepherd, Harriet Blackmore, Frankie Ward and Paris Dangerfield entered the senior IM2 category and were very impressive in an outstanding win, while Shauna McClaren and Lydia Chance just lost out in the final of J15 doubles.

Sian Hinton outclassed her opposition in the J16 single sculls and Jasmine White lost narrowly.

Bruce McClaren got a well-deserved win in the J17 single scull as did Beth Darby and Tash Smith in their J16 double sculls.

The Masters F Coxed Four of Tony Price, Stu Peace, Keith Barwise and Ian Hough, coxed by Jodie, were edged out by a crew from Bewdley.

On Sunday, the 500m sprint course gave Stourport four Masters wins and another two junior victories.

Pete Spenser and Tim Haywood looked a good pairing, beating a useful combination from Trent in the Masters C pairs, while in the Masters E Paul Danby and Ian Hough defeated opponents from Bridgnorth.

There was a win for Stew Barnett (Masters D), Sarah Peace and Liz Danby (Women's Masters C) took the Women's Masters C doubles race, while there was victory for Sam Branford and Callum O’Reilly.

In the Junior Women's quad, Shepherd, Blackmore, Ward and Dangerfield were successful.

The Junior Women’s quad having won the senior event the day before were back in their own category racing J16 and were far too strong for their opposition as they sculled clean and smooth to win in style, topping off a magnificent weekend for the developing crew.
