BEWDLEY CC’s Under-12s team have won the West District Worcester County Cricket Board League.
Despite being only in their third year, the team topped the table this summer.
They recorded three wins and just one defeat, while two of their opponents conceded matches.
This summer, Bewdley have defeated Droitwich, Old Elizabethans and Worcestershire Girls.
The gifted young Bewdley side finished with 15 points, three ahead of closest rivals Ombersley.
They also went on to the semi-final versus the South District but were defeated by a strong side from Rushwick CC.
Their team’s progress bodes well for the future of Bewdley cricket in years to come.
Anyone interested in taking up cricket can come along to the junior practice, which is on Fridays from 6pm to 7.30pm.
All ages and abilities are welcome to come along and anyone interested in joining can call Ann Combes on 07870 752274 for more information.
