FRANCHE are still riding high at the top of Division One of the Kidderminster and District Midweek Bowling League after beating St Johns Tomk.

They have lost only one game this season, and this week they triumphed again on the Crowther St green.

The Franche club were also successful in the Logan Cup with Franche D beating club rivals Franche at Oldington.

Kinver B used their home green to great advantage with a 65 chalks victory over SW Royal Ord B, meanwhile Wolverley B had a tough game at home but managed to pull off a seven shots win against Bewdley A.

The Franche club are also leading Division Two, with the D team way ahead on points in the table. They won again at home this week against Stourport D. Cookley had another successful week with a win at St Johns B.

In Division Three, Oldington C had a tough game at Little Lakes with the home team beating the division leaders by 42 shots.

Cookley also had an exciting game against St Johns C – the outcome was a draw.

Kinver A cemented their lead at the top of the fourth division with a win at Stourport Workman’s against SW Warriors by 25 shots.

Carolians had a fine win at Cookley, while Bewdley B lost out to Ombersley by 43 shots.

Rain played havoc with the Thursday Midweek league so results are incomplete.

However in Division One, St Ambrose A managed to play their game against Franche A with the away team victorious by four shots.

Ombersley also suffered on their home green with St Johns OB A taking home an 11 shots win.

In Division Two, Kinver B defeated Cookley A by five shots.
