CHESS: Kidderminster went into their opening Wolverhampton and District League Division One match at Stafford fearful of the opposition, but came away with a creditable 3-3 draw.
Excellent victories for James Friar and Maurice Bissell gave Kidderminster a share of the points.
It was fortunate that John Wrench and Joseph Friar could not get anything out of their games to clinch the win.
