A big field of CMGC members contested and supported the incoming captains.
The pair scored 50 points, the best ever betterball score at Cleobury Mortimer.
Cleobury Mortimer guess the drives scores: Maurice Clarke drove 70 yards – closest guess was Adam Warren (100 yards). Julie Currie drove 40 yards – closest guess was Ian Duncan (99 yards); John Gaskell drive 159 yards – closest guess was Chris Newman (160 yards).
Nearest the pins: Ian Duncan – 5th Deer Park; Ian Dorrell – 6th Badgers Sett; 3rd – Adam Warren and Craig Shorter – 48 points; 2nd – Ian Gough and Yoshi Oyama – 48 on count back; 1st – Steve and Phil Lau – 50.
Meanwhile, Bewdley Pines’ Gill Gatland was awarded the Ladies Golfing Union medal for the four best rounds of the year.
