STOURPORT Men’s Seconds got the better of Harborne 2-1 on Saturday.

The hosts fell behind in the opening ten minutes, but pulled the scores back before half time through Adam Leeke, with the first of his brace.

Early in the second half it was Leeke again who gave the advantage to Stourport with an impressive reverse stick shot. This was enough to seal the victory with the home side hanging on to win.

The thirds hit the goal trail as they got the better of Harborne 4-2.

The first half was an evenly matched affair with Stourport scoring first thanks to an effort by James Styles.

The visitors’ lead didn’t last though as Harborne equalised just before the break. The scores were level, 1-1 at the break, but Stourport produced an impressive display in the second period.

Good work by Paul Edwards set up Ben Harris for the second goal.

Lee Slip then evaded Harborne’s defence to pounce on a through ball and fire home the third.

The Birmingham outfit pulled a goal back, turning the last ten minutes into a tense affair, but it was the visitors who scored next. With five minutes to go Matt Ormrod added a fourth.

Meanwhile, the fourths drew 0-0 with Worcester with Steve Taylor being named man of the match.
