BEWDLEY Town are set to say goodbye to winger James Baldwin.

West Midlands League Premier rivals Gornal Athletic have put in seven days notice for Baldwin, who has scored ten goals this season.

Manager Phil Mullen said: “We wish him well.

“He did very well in the first four months but has been quiet over the last six weeks.

“But the good thing is that we’ve got a lot of players available.

“We had 16 or 17 players at training, so hopefully we can start picking the same team consistently.”

Town’s home clash against Wolverhampton Sporting last weekend was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch but Mullen is hoping that the pitch at Ribbesford Meadow will be okay for Tuesday’s game against Willenhall Town (7.45pm ko).

He said: “The banks on the side are causing the problem, the water is coming down on one part of the pitch.

“We’ve we’ve got some people looking at it “Hopefully we’ll find a solution because at the moment we’re playing every two weeks.”

Bewdley go to fourth-placed Shawbury in the league on Saturday.
