KIDDERMINSTER and Stourport AC celebrated another fine season at their annual presentation evening.

Paralympic runner Dean Miller was on hand to present accolades.

Track and field starlets Ryan Bennett (U11s), Libby Hawkeswell (U11s), Jack Lambert (U13s), Eddie Roberts (U15s) and Ella DiMambro (U15) saw their efforts recognised. Greg Forrester received the U17 mens award with Alex Surridge picking up the U20 men’s trophy. Mark Wilson was presented with the senior men’s award and Lynette McKewon with the vets women’s trophy.

There were awards for cross country U11s runners Ryan Bennett and Libby Hawkeswell won the U11 awards, as did Chris Telling (U13 boys), Tom Palmer ( U15 boys), Archie Roberts (U17s), Aimee Rice (U17 women) and senior man Brian Currier Neil Kirk was given the senior men’s road running trophy, while Selina Topham was the women and overall winner.

Currier was named most improved runner and Roberts most improved athlete.

The accolade for junior cross country athlete was Aimee Rice and Paul Bradley was named road runners’ runner of the year.

Hazel Stock was clubman of the year and the Alan Moreton Trophy for Cross Country was presented to Hawkeswell.

The Richard Warder Appreciation Trophy, presented for outstanding all round contributions to the club went to the chairman Ron Oliver.

KSAC start the new track and field season on April 12 with the annual Spring Warm Up meeting in Stourport and new members are always welcome.
