GIRLS FOOTBALL: Wyre Forest Phoenix had a good showing at the Female Football Festival held at Areley Kings.
Both of the ladies teams finished well in their groups only to lose their semi-final games, although competition was tough.
The under-14s side defeated local rivals Cookley girls in a penalty shoot-out semi-final.
They then faced Redditch in the final and after the drama of a penalty shoot out, where the keeper saved two shoot outs, they sealed the silverware.
Wyre Forest Phoenix are now looking for player of all ages to enhance teams.
