FOR the third successive week Stourport were involved in a nail biting finish this week just edging out Harborne by one wicket in Worcestershire Division Two.

Having won the toss and electing to field, Stourport restricted Harborne to 221-8 from their 50 overs.

Matt Delo (3-33) and Lee Waldron (2-34) the pick of the attack.

In reply. Kevin Renecke (49) attempted to hold the innings together as wickets tumbled round him. Number eight bat Will Downes (48no) batted superbly, with valuable runs from the other lower order batsmen Gavin Bryan (28) and 19 not out from Waldron.

Stourport clinched victory in the last over by one wicket.

This Saturday Stourport entertain Feckenham (1pm start).

The seconds kept their 42 point lead at the top of Division One as they beat Redditch by six wickets.

Redditch posted an impressive 277-8 from their 50 overs, with Spencer Colley taking 4-53.

In reply, a brilliant 127 from Mark Moss saw Stourport to a comfortable victory in the 46th over for the loss of just four wickets.

Stourport thirds lead Division Five as they beat Redditch thirds by just five runs. Batting first Stourport posted 147 before bowling out Redditch for 142.

The fourths thrashed their Redditch counterparts having bowled Red ditch out for 156.
