CYCLING: An excellent weekend of racing by Wyre Forest CRC produced two individual winners and two first team prizes.
In the Saracen RC promoted 10 miles time trial on the K33/10D course, Steve Vanes took the top individual honour with a time of 20 minutes and 38 seconds.
He was supported by Jon Howard with 20.55 and Justin Walters on 21.00 to clinch the team prize.
Also in support were Stuart Walker with 22.05 and Andy Overton with 22.11. Lucy Walters took the ladies' race with a personal best time of 22.48 and David Prior clocked 25.38 for third place in the over-60s veterans category.
The following day, Howard also placed tenth from 96 entrants in the Midland Championship promoted by RST Sport/Aero Coach and University of Birmingham, finishing in 21.53.
Lucy Walters led the club to the ladies' team title, finishing second in a time of 24.17, with support from Janet Birkmire and Karen Riley.
