KIDDERMINSTER'S Russell Perks Martial Arts Academy (RPMAA) saw one of their fighters produce an outstanding display at the Battle Arena MMA fight night in Leicester.

Macaulay White, who has trained at RPMAA for just under 12 months, has worked hard for this up and coming fight against fighter Michael Reeder from Rugby-based Complete Combat MMA.

From the start of round one, White leadpushed the pressure of the fight, countering the first kick, and going for the first take down.

A great display of striking and controlling from the floor was displayed from Macaulay with the Rugby fighter having no response to what was thrown at him.

Macaulay won the fight by ground and pound at one minute 22 seconds by TKO.

The next event for RPMAA is Battle Arena on November 7, where eight fighters from the academy battle it out for their victories alongside RPMAA fighter David Khalsa who will be vying for a national title against Ross Gallagher.

Head Coach Russell Perks said: “I am proud of his MMA fight team, they show true team spirit and great respect to what can be classed as a violent sport, which MMA truly.

"We train our members in a respectful manner and every one of my academy supports each other. We are very much looking forward to our November fights and we have already started the hard training."
