RIDERS from Wyre Forest CRC brought their summer season to an end with some success.

In the Coventry RC promoted ten-mile time trial, Steve Vanes fin - ished 11th in a time of 20 minutes, 44 seconds. Jon Howard (21.17) was close behind in 12th place.

They were followed by Andy Overton (24th in 22.13) and Stuart Walker (26th in 22.19).

In the VC Sevale promoted ten-mile event, Howard (21.36) was fourth, Walker (22.52) was 24th, while Paul Gib - son (2.10.09) ended his season with a ride in the Welsh CA promot - ed 50-mile time trial finishing 48th.

In the Wyre Forest CRC and Worcester St Johns CC joint hill climb promotion at Shelsley Walsh, the home club secured all three top spots in the Under-14 category.

Charlie Genner (4.34) repeated his victory of last year, Sam Cooper recorded 4.38 in his first ride at this even and Ben Lawrence completed the podium with a time of 5.20.

Junior rider Jamie Crump (3.35) finished 15th, missing third place in his category by four seconds, while another junior Oliver Bill recorded 4.08.

The only WFCRC senior rider was Chris Crump who placed 18th in a time of 3.45.

Race winner was Rich Bussell from spon - sored team RST Sport/ Aero-Coach in an event record time of 2-40.
