LADIES FOOTBALL: Wyre Forest Phoenix under-10s got the better of Warndon Village Wildcats 2-1.
The home side opened the scoring early on but Forest made it 1-1 when Grace Gallagher- Kennett smashed the ball into the net from edge of the area.
Wyre Forest then took a 2-1 lead when Caitlin Anderson slotted home and they held on for the win.
The under-14s Girls edged out 1-0 Droitwich Spa Ravens.
After a goalless first half, they piled on the pressure only to be denied by Spa’s keeper.
Chloe Reading fired Forest ahead.
Despite Droitwich growing into the game after the goal, Phoenix calmly defended ensured the win.
Wyre Forest’s under-14s were edged out 3-2 by Santiago Colts.
Phoenix took the lead in the first half when Kathryn Bayliss hit the back of the net, but their hosts, Santiago Colts, equalised to make the score level at half-time.
Forest went ahead again early in the second half through Molly Knight, only to be thwarted late on, to be finally edged out 3-2.
