CYCLING: While senior riders in Wyre Forest CRC are either recovering from a hard summer season of racing or preparing for next year’s races with some long steady rides, it has been left to the junior riders to promote the club in competitions.
Riding in the U16s category of the West Midlands Cyclo Cross League, Jamie Crump and Harrison Bryan have had excellent displays in a very competitive class.
They finished 15th and 21st respectively in the Wolverhampton Wheelers CC promoted event and 16th and 25th in the latest round promoted by Stratford CC.
Go-Ride coordinator Richard Pedersen has introduced a rider of the month award to members of his Friday evening group who receive expert instruction from coaches Pedersen and Jon Howard at the Stourport Sports Club.
The first recipient of this award is Polly Sibthorpe who has shown perseverance, dedication and commitment in learning new skills over the last few weeks.
