CYCLING: Junior Wyre Forest rider Harrison Bryan continued the new year as he had ended the previous year with a solid performance in the latest West Midland Cyclo Cross League event promoted by Just Ride at Baggeridge Country Park, near Sedgeley.
His 18th-placed finish in the combined youth races followed his 22nd place in the Midland Championships at Newport as well as 11th and 13th places in the following WMCCL races promoted by Royal Leamington Spa CC and Rugby Velo.
Despite missing some earlier competitions, he has made up ground in the latter part of the season and is now within sight of a top 20 final position with one race remaining.
Mountain bike rider Louis Smith has been named December’s Go Ride rider of the month, following his commitment to training and a successful debut into competition.
