DIRECTOR of rugby Phil Knowles feels there is plenty of room for improvement for Kidderminster Carolians.

The Marlpool Lane side lost a second successive game for the first time this season when they lost a try-laden clash at home to Handsworth 28-24 on Saturday.

KCs will be aiming to bounce back at Midlands Division Two West (North) strugglers Handsworth this weekend (2.15pm ko).

Knowles said: “With the talent we’ve got, we could be winning those games but I am not worried because we can improve in certain areas.

“Our biggest problem was in game management. Our lineouts were quite bad really – that cost us.

“When you have a lineout five yards out from the try line you should be winning that and driving over for a try.

“But we’ve worked on it in training.

“The last two defeats could have gone either way but I would expect us to respond at Handsworth.”

Rhys Pritchard remains sidelined with damaged shoulder ligaments, while gifted youngster Arthur Morgan is set to play for the Colts against Syston. Colts saw their clash at Hereford called off at the weekend.

The young side have been in great form this season, winning 13 games in a row before losing their first match of the season at the hands of Luctonians.
