LADIES FOOTBALL: Wyre Forest Phoenix got the better of Folly Lane Ladies 7-1 in the West Midlands Regional Women’s League.
After losing 4-3 on penalties to Worcester United in the League Cup, they bounced back against Folly Lane.
During the break, Wyre Forest signed Leah Baker from Malvern Town, as well as Melissa Zaffino and Sarah Aston who are duel signed with local county side Cookley Ladies.
Kirsty Roberts bagged a hat-trick, while Chelsea Mudge scored a brace and new signings Baker and Kathryn Bayliss also both got on the score sheet.
The under-14s got the better of St Johns Colts 3-1, with goals for Emily Crump and Izzy Smith (2).
The under-15s defeated Gornal 4-0 with Ellie Jones, Fleur Connolly, Megan Morris and Weronika Pawlowska scoring.
