HOLLY Workman set the tone for Wyre Forest Swimming Club as she bagged their only victory of the night in the first round of the Nuneaton Junior League.

Younger members aged between nine and 12-years-old, headed to Worcester on Saturday.

Workman bagged their only victory in the 12 and under 50 metre breaststroke. The girls 12/u freestyle relay team of Lucy Nicholls, Lois Stevens, Jasmin Yates and Holly Workman, took third spot.

The boys 12/u relay quartet of Adam Newey, Alfie Myers, Eddie Cox and Robert Darbyshire sealed third place in both the freestyle and medley relays.

Tom Elliott, Lucy Nicholls and Archie Darby-Duffield all made their debut for Wyre Forest.

Swimmers set 58 new personal best times during the night and only one point separated the fourth and fifth final positions in what was a tough draw which included two A teams from city clubs.
