YOUNGER members of Wyre Forest Swimming Club helped the club finish fourth in the latest round of the Ross PGL League.

Results – individual first places: Lillie Grove, 9yrs 25m freestyle; Maddie Moore, 9yrs 25m buttterfly; Tyler Elwell, 10/u 25m breaststroke; Jasmine Preedy, 11/u 25m butterfly; Robert Darbyshire, 12/u 50m butterfly.

Relay first places: 12/u 4x1 medley relay - Alfie Myers, Oliver Scott, Nathaniel Crowther, Robert Darbyshire; 12/u 4x1 freestyle – Robert Darbyshire, Alfie Myers, Nathaniel Crowther, Billy Moore; 13/14 4x1 medley relay & 4x1 freestyle – Daniel Hardiman, Will Guest, Nathaniel Crowther, Bradley Badhams.

Final results: Worcester 187, Oldbury & Stourbridge tied on 141, Wyre Forest 114.

l A 10-STRONG group from the club travelled to Millfield School in Somerset for their final preparation meet before the West Midland Regional Age Group Championships in May.

A highlight of the meet was meeting Millfield’s swimmers James Guy and Cameron Kurle, who have qualified for the Rio Games.

The squad now look forward to the Regional Championships this month.
