NATHANIEL Crowther lead the way for Wyre Forest Swimming Club at the Regional Championships.

Nine members qualified for the championships, obtaining their qualification times during the season for their particular age group.

The event was held over the final two weekends of May.

Crowther, 13, brought home the club’s only medal when he qualified for the regional final in the 200-metre backstroke and took bronze.

He also qualified for the 50m and 100m backstroke finals, finishing both in seventh position.

The youngster also finished 11th in the 200 individual medley and 12th in the 100m freestyle.

Holly Workman, 13, qualified for the 50m and 200m breaststroke and finished both in seventh position.

She also finished 11th in the 100m breaststroke.

Jasmin Yates, 11, qualified for the regionals finals of the 200m butterfly and finished in seventh position, despite being only 10 years old and competing in the 11 to 12-year-old age group.

Jasmine also finished 14th in the 200m backstroke and came 17th in the 50m backstroke.

Bradley Baddams, 14, finished 14th in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke finals and took 15th in the 50m butterfly.

Matilda Calder, 13, came joint 11th in the 50m butterfly, 15th in the 50m backstroke and 19th in the 100m butterfly.

Alex Farmer, 14, finished 14th in 200m back and 16th in the 100m backstroke.

Adam Newey, 13, was 16th in the 50m backstroke final, while Amber Wright, 14, finished 20th in the 50m backstroke.
