NAOMI Folkard has made a solid start in the Antalya 2016 Hyundai Archery World Cup Stage three as she pushes for a place in the Rio Olympic squad this week.
The event is the final opportunity to secure team qualifying spots for Rio and will need to secure a top three spot.
Britain made a good start in the rankings tournament, which determined team and individual seedings ahead of the Rio qualifying tournament.
Folkard, Bryony Pitman and Amy Oliver secured ninth place for Great Britain in the Olympic qualifying out of 29 teams from all across the world.
The Wyre Forest archer, who has also competed at the London and Beijing Games, is ranked 46th heading into the Rio qualifying section.
The teams will be in action today aiming for Brazil, while the individual tournament is tomorrow.
The qualifying is also run alongside the World Cup event, and GB’s Women’s recurve team go into the next stage ranked 14th out of 37 teams after scoring 642.
David Tillotson, performance director at Archery GB, commented: “It is an important phase for the archers, but we’re in a positive frame of mind and intend to build on our recent strong performances, in Slovenia, Shanghai and Nottingham.”
