KIDDERMINSTER archer Naomi Folkard booked her place on the plane to the Rio Olympics after a stunning display at the Archery World Cup.
She finished second in the women’s final individual qualification Tournament, which forms part of the Archery World Cup.
This means she will automatically be selected to compete in Rio alongside Patrick Huston who qualified last month at the European Archery Championship, subject to ratification by the British Olympic Association. The official team announcement will be made on 28 June, 2016.
David Tillotson, Archery GB performance director, said: “This is a terrific achievement as Naomi will be attending her fourth Olympic Games, which is testament to the hard work and training she has put in.
“Naomi and Patrick along with the coaching and support team, will now move onto close and careful preparation for what will be Naomi’s fourth and Patrick’s first Olympic Games.”
