WYRE Forest Swimming Club returned from the County Relay Championships in Wolverhampton with seven medals.
Clubs all across Worcestershire sent teams to compete in a host of different age groups in freestyle and medley compeititons.
All of the club’s relay teams made at least one final appearance each.
Wyre Forest’s 9/10yrs girls relay team of Ella Goddard, Alexandra Hayes, Abigail Smith and Jasmin Yates,won silver in the freestyle relay and the bronze in the medley relay.
The club’s 11/12yrs boys freestyle relay team of Nathaniel Crowther, Robert Darbyshire, Adam Newey and Jeremy Summers took the bronze medal after a hard-fought race.
Meanwhile, the same quartet also took the bronze in the medley relay.
Wyre Forest’s 11/12yrs girls relay team of Matilda Calder, Poppy Stant, Lois Stevens and Holly Workman also secured an impressive bronze in both the freestyle and medley relays.
The men’s masters 101-139yo team (ages of competitors added together) of Richard Carter, Steve Moss, Elliot Thorley and Matt Turton took the silver medal in the freestyle relay.
Head coach Lucy Walters said: “It was an exciting event and good to see Wyre Forest swimmers of all ages competing.
“Well done everyone who competed – especially all the dads who gave up their Father’s Day.”
