CAPTAIN Matt Pardoe hailed Kidderminster’s complete display as they thumped West Bromwich Dartmouth by 187 runs.

The Chester Road side notched up an seventh win in nine matches as they continued their remarkable rise up the Birmingham League Premier.

In an outstanding display, Michael Hill’s brilliant 116 off 55 balls topped a day where Jon Wright (66) and Chris Russell (5-41) shone.

Hill also chipped with two tail-end wickets to cap a fine all-round display.

Kidderminster filled their boots by reaching 347-6 before dismissing the home side for 160.

Pardoe said: “It was a complete display by us, where we had one or two players really stand out but everyone played well.

“Michal Hill’s innings was absolutely perfect.

“He didn’t try to slog it, he just played perfect shots every time and took the game away from West Bromwich.

“Jon Wright is also playing really well, he had a quiet year last year and that may have been down to me not playing him in the right spot but since he moved to number three he’s not looked back.”

Kidderminster’s new-found form will face its first severe test on Saturday when they entertain third-placed Wolverhampton (noon start).

With the Wyre Forest outfit only three points behind in fourth place, victory could catapult them into second spot, if Knowle and Dorridge slip up at West Bromwich.

While skipper Pardoe is missing because of a wedding, Craig Wood step into replace him.

Pardoe added: “The team is full of confidence and we’ve also got a lot of consistency of selection.

“We’ve got everybody available for the rest of the season.

“Wolverhampton are a very good side and they will be a test for us.”
