EIGHT wickets fell to lbws in Kidderminster seconds’ seven-wicket win over Halesowen last Saturday.

The opposition were bowled out for 101 in 37.5 overs, five of the wickets being lbw, with Gomez Vincent taking 6-24.

In reply, Kidderminster’s first three batsmen fell to leg-before decisions – Sam Beadsworth (10), Mark Mansell (35) and Andry Kimberlin (27).

It was left to James Kinder (2 not out) and Lewis Stainforth (20no) to finish off Halesowen in 26.1 overs, Stainforth cementing the victory, which lifts the team off bottom place, with a confident six.

In the Worcestershire League, Kidderminster Thirds skittled Stourport out for 100 in 31.1 overs.

Charlie Foley (27) top-scored for the opposition, before being caught off Sam Gall, who totted up 4-19, with Harry Carter taking 3-28.

In reply, KCC reached the total in 23.2 overs for two wickets, with Godfrey Lamb (42no) top-scoring, backed up by Harry Dickens (22no).

KCC fourth’s earned a losing draw at Bredon.

Kidderminster elected to field and youngster Josh Tidmarsh took 2-51 and Tom Davies 2-42, but the hosts notched up 239-6.

In reply, 13-year-olds Matt Hatfield (50) and number six Joe Miszkowski (59) scored the bulk of KCC’s 197-9.

KCC fifths had to concede their game against Evesham.
