YOUNG Bewdley motorcycle ace Taylor Fox Moreton put in a storming display at Donington Park to claim second place in the Santander KTM British Junior Cup.

On his KTM 390CC bike in the British Superbikes support series, the 15-year-old has shown courage, tenacity and a talent to earn points.

He took opened at Donington strongly with pole position in a close qualifying session at Donington, with 0.250 seconds covering the top three.

In his three heats, Moreton was third, second and fifth to take his final points tally to 237 and seal series runner-up spot. Scott Swann was third with 219.

After winning the title in August, Aaron Wright earned a first and two third places to finish on 340.

“It’s hard to let it all sink in,” said Moreton. “I knew what I had to do. I put the nerves away and got on with it.

“The first heat was rough. A lad crashed out right in front of me, so I dropped back from first to last. I made a good comeback to finish third. Overall, it was a brilliant weekend.

“I go to Assen soon. I’ll be racing with the top riders from different series. There’ll be 13 quick guys competing for every win. There are no points at stake, so I’ll be relaxing and just enjoying it.

“After that, I’ve got a wild card ride in the HEL Moto3 GP Series at Brands Hatch in October.”

Moreton races in the Netherlands from September 30 until October 2.
