Fielding a mixed team Stourport ladies 5th XI won their friendly match against their hosts Worcester 4th's, last weekend.

Stourport came out on top 4-1, a result that saw the first career goal for Renata Kirszniok.

Some fantastic play from Lou Marshall in the middle of the pitch lead to her scoring the first two goals of the match. Using her skill, and pace, Stourport's player of the match, passed a number of players.

Stourport produced some good solid defending in the first half, with their keeper, Evie Dickinson, producing some wonderful saves to counter Worcester's few quick breaks.

The visitors continued to dominate the play after Mia Pepperdine and Sophie Strokes had arrived to support Marshall in the middle.

Then just before half time Rosie Connolly slipped the third goal in, giving the visitors a 3-0 advantage at the break.

Worcester came back with determination in the second half, pulling a goal back in the first ten minutes. They continued to chase the play with Dickinson making some more great saves.

Stourport didn't give up and although by this time both of their subs were injured, they fought on. T his determination leading to Kirszniok's first career goal, and giving Stourport a 4-1 victory.

Stourport men's 2nd XI remain rooted to the bottom of the Midlands League Premier, after they lost 2-1 away last weekend.

The visitors conceded a freak goal in the first half, but, a penalty flick save by Stourport keeper Danny Baldwin, kept the visitors in the match. Stourport did succumb though, letting in a second goal before Matt Derbyshire, pulled a one back. However, the 2nd's were unable to find an equaliser.

Stourport men's 3rd XI gained a point when they drew 3-3 with their hosts Bournville in the Midland League 1. The sides were level at 1-1 at the break and thanks to a hat trick by Lee Slipanczewski, they ended the all level at 3-3.

Another goal rush by David Knott helped seal a 5-2 victory for Stourport's men's 4th XI, when they entertained Warwick last weekend in the Central League West Midlands Premiership.

The home side were two goals up at the break but despite conceding two goals finished the match 5-2, after their player of the match Knott scored a hat trick and further goals from Jon Yates, and Pete Gibbins.
