STOURPORT Swifts conceded deep into injury time against Coventry Sphinx last Saturday as their winless run extended to seven games.

Swifts thought they'd salvaged a point from the clash when striking late on themselves through substitute Reece Shilvock, only to then concede in the third minute of added time when Darren Eggleton netted to make it 3-2.

Aaron Lloyd had handed Stourport the lead at Walshes Meadow just after the half hour mark before Coventry hit back in the second half through Ryan Harkin and Dominik Alleyne.

Manager Mark Phillips was frustrated his side let the points slip after working so hard to find a way back He said: "We again made defensive mistakes to let them back into the game. It's frustrating because it's a game we could have easily won.

"I said to the players that if I thought we were far off moving up the table then I'd tell them, but that's not the case."

Swifts, who sit fourth from bottom in the Midland Football League's Premier Division, don't have a game this Saturday but will look to get back to winning ways when the host Heanor Town next Tuesday (7.45pm kick-off).
