TOP of the table Stourport ladies first XI continue their campaign in the Investec Western Conference League this weekend when they entertain bottom-of-the-league Bristol Firebrands.

The match follows last weekend's 3-1 victory over Exe in Exeter, where Stourport's player of the match Lora Symonds, scored a hat trick.

Exe took the lead early but the visitors dominated from then on, with Symonds equalising just before the break, her second goal gave Stourport the lead just after the restart. Symonds' final goal secured the victory in the 61st minute.

The ladies second XI Midland Division 1 match, away against Cannock, resulted in 3-1 victory for Stourport.

The visitors had a lethargic start to the match, but still began the match strongly creating numerous chances, to grab an opening goal and they did when Kerry Walker hit an outstanding shot in the air and right into the net.

Stourport surged further ahead with a second goal after some great play down the wing by Amy Miller who passed to Jade Marshall-Walker.

Walker dribbled the ball into the 'D' and passed to Sophie Thompson to score the first of her brace. Stourport let Cannock slip a goal back leaving the scores at 2-1 at the break.

A second goal by Thompson, who nipped the ball into the corner of the goal, was enough to finish off Cannock's challenge. Stourport player of the match was Izzy Knott.

The ladies third XI beat their hosts Redditch seconds's 2-0 in last weekend's Worcestershire 1st Division match. The result saw the ladies maintain second place in the division. The ladies fourth XI began their visit to Worcester third's in last weekend's Worcestershire 2nd Division match with a goal for junior Milly Short.

Worcester came out after the break fighting but Stourport's player of the match, Ronnie Foister, pulled off some fine saves to keep the visitors in the lead. However, the three points weren't destined for Stourport, seconds before the full time whistle blew Worcester equalised to take a share of the points. Despite some great saves from their keeper Helen Dent and some strong performances from their defence, Stourport's ladies over 45's lost to last year's cup runnners-up, Kettering, 10-0.

After taking a 3-0 lead at half time Stourport men's third XI went on to beat Worcester at The Kingsway 5-1 in the Midland League 1.
