BEWDLEY Town extended their unbeaten run to seven games with victory over Pegasus Juniors last Saturday.

Town got the better of the seven-goal thriller at Ribbesford Meadow thanks to a brace from Lewis Pountney and strikes from Luke Morris and Liam Williams.

They had taken a 2-0 lead before their visitors hit back. However, Town regroup in the second half and eventually found the winner in the final minutes when Williams struck to make it 4-3.

The result pleased boss Phil Mullen. He said: "Everyone is feeling really good at the moment.

"It helps that we have a striker in Lewis Pountney that has hit 26 in 14 but the rest of the side has really played their part.

"The run we are on is a credit to the squad and our reserve side.

"We have a resilience about us at the moment."

Town were set to take on AFC Bridgenorth away in the league cup last night before going to promotion chasers Wolverhampton Sporting this Saturday.

"It will be a tough ask for us but we are vibrant at the moment and there is no reason we can't continue our recent form," added Mullen.
