KIDDERMINSTER Lions football team have received a brand new free kit courtesy of McDonald’s franchisee Afia Sirkhot and the McDonald’s and FA kit scheme.

To mark the occasion the club held an event at their ground where Afia came along to celebrate the team receiving their new strips for this year’s season.

Suzanne Oliver, from Kidderminster Lions FC, said: “We’re hugely grateful to McDonald’s for donating a new kit for our team.

“The kid’s absolutely love wearing the strips, having the kit has created fantastic unity and team spirit and has given the kids extra motivation to train and have a great season.”

The McDonald’s kit scheme, now in its fourth year, has provided over 175,000 kits to clubs across the UK with 70,000 kits being delivered in 2016.

The programme focuses on supporting accredited grassroots clubs to help raise the standards of grassroots football.
