WYRE Forest Company of Archers have been going for gold after enjoying successful tournaments in recent weeks.
The club has produced eight medallists, with Lindsey Brazier and Anne Rutland taking gold and silver respectively in the ladies compound at Portsmouth.
There were also gold medals for Angela Burbridge in the ladies barebow, Heike Palmer in the junior ladies barebow and junior ladies under-12 recurve.
There were silver medals for Melissa Smallman in the ladies recurve and Lauren Turner in the junior ladies under-14 recurve as well as a bronze medal for Bill Bell in the gents’ compound.
There was more success in the Redhill Archers Vegas round at Wythall, with Lindsey Brazier and Angela Burbridge repeating their victories in the ladies compound and barebow respectively.
Freya Palmer was another winner taking the top place in the junior ladies recurve with sister Heike in 3rd place. Melissa Smallman was again in second place in the ladies recurve as was Scott Potter in the gents’ compound.
