COOKLEY'S good start to the season came to a shuddering halt with defeat to Colwall.
After being put in to bat Colwall amassed 228-6, the pick of the Cookley bowlers was Jaimen Rudd who bagged 4-28 off ten overs.
Adam Nicholls collected the other two wickets for 33 off five overs.
Rudd also featured with the bat, he scored 54 before being run out as Cookley dwindled to 162 all out.
The result means the Villagers are now fourth in Worcester County League Division One.
There were good wins for the seconds and thirds who scored 257-7 and 280-8 in the defeats of Bromyard seconds and Highley firsts respectively.
Batting honours went to Dan Southam (62), Simon Cook (53) and Mike Wood (51) for the seconds and in the thirds the big hitters were Si Kirby (92) and Monty Reynolds (79).
There was also a return to form for Ryan Parker who took 4-28 in the seconds.
