THERE were more centuries for Kidderminster last Saturday - as well as a magnificent 160 not out from Craig Wood batting 55 overs for the firsts, Lewis Stainforth hit an exemplary 107 for the seconds.

The teenager, only just back from university, was, of course, the pick of the batsmen with legend Mark Mansell not far behind on 83 before submitting to an lbw.

Finishing on 285 for 6 was enough to scrape a losing draw against Tamworth who ended on 329 for 4, after winning the toss and batting first.

Stainforth also took two wickets including the scalp of Tamworth’s opener Callum Render, seven short of his century, thanks to a catch by keeper Godfrey Lamb.

KCC’s 3rd team were all out for 249 in the 49th over in a win against OE’s who could only muster 203 all out. Top scoring batsmen were Harry Dickens (89), skipper and keeper James Williams (59) and Andrew Reeson (37).

Will Hyde, who scored 17 off the bat, took 3 wickets as did Adam Davis, backed up by Liam Wills and Oli Davenport on 2 apiece.

There was some very good batting in the 4ths, to see them beat OE’s by four wickets with a score of 254 for 5 off 37 overs in reply to the opposition’s 252 all out in 42 overs.

Despite 111 not out from OE’s number three, skipper Andy Mitchell, there was a good all round performance from Kidderminster’s batsmen, with teenage opener Ollie Hart-Bradford scoring 45, another youngster Rhodri Morson (47), skipper Ian Sadler (65 n.o) and the experienced Simon Trickett (42).

Pick of the bowlers was Lee Daniels with 4 wickets, supported by Aaron Dalton and Sadler with two each and Finley Tibbetts with one.
