BEWDLEY Tennis Club will begin its annual drive to get more townsfolk playing the sport with its first open day of the year this weekend.

Anyone interested in seeing what the club has to offer can attend from noon until 4pm on Sunday (March 18), making it the perfect opportunity to try the courts, enjoy some free adult and junior coaching, test service speeds and sample the its famed homemade cakes and pastries.

The Stourport Road club, which was founded in 1924, currently has a thriving junior section, a strong adult section and a range of starter and beginner sessions to encourage more people into the sport.

For more information about the various sessions for children and adults contact head coach Geoff Barrie on 07838 236691.
